Weyerhaeuser to indefinitely close Vanceboro sawmill

Weyerhaeuser will close its sawmill in Vanceboro this September, leading to the loss of 73 jobs, according to state filings. “This closure is expected to be an indefinite curtailment, which will exceed 30 days, and will affect all employees at the New Bern Lumber Mill facility,” the notice stated.
