U.S. sawmills produced 32.441 billion board feet (bbf) of softwood lumber in the first 11 months of 2018, an increase of 3.7% from 31.295 bbf in the same period a year earlier. Western U.S. sawmills contributed 13.431 bbf to the 11-month total, a gain of 4.8% from 12.816 bbf in the previous year, while Southern U.S. sawmills accounted for 17.482 bbf - up 2.9% from 16.997 bbf, , the Western Wood Products Assn. reported in its monthly Lumber Track report.  ...
