UK plywood market mood improves

UK plywood importers and distributors are becoming more positive about prospects. Although, some suggest market sentiment is buoyed more by firming prices than a marked increase in demand. Businesses report that trade remained at a reasonable level since Q4 last year. Total UK imports of plywood in the first quarter of 2024 were 359,000 cu.m, 1% more than the same period in 2023.
