The business mood in the German timber industry improved in April

In large parts of the German timber industry, the mood improved slightly in April.  According to the Main Association of the German Woodworking Industries (HDH) economic indicator determined by the Munich-based ifo Institute has recently stabilized at a low level. Business concerns about energy prices began to fade. However, the economy lacks momentum. High commodity prices, reduced purchasing power and further increases in construction interest rates continue to weigh on the situation in the sector. The companies assessed their current business situation somewhat weaker than in March. The value for assessing the current situation fell to 1.8 ...
