Swedish forestry companies are continuing to raise the prices they pay for wood. Södra was the first to announce the price increases last week , and VVDS, Mellanskog and Norra Skog have since joined in. VVDS will increase the price it pays its members for softwood fiber by 40 kronor, or approximately 3.60 euros per cubic meter, and the price it pays for birch fiber by 30 kronor, or approximately 2.70 euros per cubic meter.
