The European softwood lumber exports to China have decreased significantly during January-August 2018, as compared to the same period last year. In volume, the shipments went down by -24%, reaching a volume of 1,547,702 m3, as compared to the 2,028,616 m3 exported during Jan.-Aug. 2017. Finland was the biggest exporter, even if the shipments to China went -36% down, to 695,095 m3.
