Sharp fall in Finland’s sawn timber exports to European countries
In the third quarter of 2022, Finnish exports of raw and planed sawn softwood to other European countries decreased by 26%. In July-September, the figure amounted to just over 764.9 thousand m³.    In the first and second quarters, the decline in supplies amounted to 4%.    According to export trade statistics released by the Finnish customs authority, exports to the UK and France halved year on year to 147.2 thousand m³ and 65.7 thousand m³ respectively. Exports to Germany decreased by 26% to 102.1 thousand m³.   ...
