Despite the sluggish construction industry, there is currently a rising demand for softwood logs in Austria. Accumulated damaged wood quantities from December can be easily accommodated in the market, given the moderate stockpiling by the sawmill industry. Provided quantities are swiftly transported, and there are no weather-related restrictions or forest storage issues.
