Poland’s record softwood log exports to China raise domestic raw material prices
Poland's export of softwood logs to China has seen a steep rise in recent times, according to the Polish Chamber of Commerce of the Timber Industry. The first quarter of 2023 is projected to witness the export of over 300,000 cubic meters of softwood logs to China, a record high. Market analysts suggest that the sale of wood from Poland to China has grown more than four times compared to 2021, albeit China is only 13th in terms of the value of such exports.
