The trend towards normalization in the price of wood pellets continued in January. As reported by the German Pellet Institute (DEPI), one ton (t) of pellets costs €499.14 on average across Germany. That is 7.1% less than in the previous month and 36.2% more than in January 2022. For the first time since June 2022, pellets are available for less than 10 ct/kWh.
