Metsä Group started up its Kemi bioproduct mill
Metsä Group's Kemi bioproduct factory has started production this Wednesday. It produces 1.5 million tons of softwood and hardwood pulp annually. "Pulp and cardboard are the raw materials for many of our consumer goods, which are produced in Kemi with significantly lower emissions than before. Finland now needs sustainable investments that create work, livelihood and faith in the future," says Metsä Group CEO Ilkka Hämälä in the press release. The factory uses 7.6 million cubic meters of wood per year, which is 4.5 million cubic meters more than the old factory.  ...
