Metsä Group prepares for production cuts at two of its sawmills

Metsä Group begins  negotiations at Lappeenranta and Vilppula sawmills. The negotiations concern possible layoffs, and the scope of the negotiations includes the entire staff. Negotiations prepare for possible production adjustments to meet temporarily low order volumes. Possible layoffs would last a maximum of 90 days. They could be implemented in several installments by the end of January 2025.
