As of Friday, the United States have increased tariffs on Chinese imports: from previously 10% to now 25%. Goods with a total value of US-$200 bn. are said to be affected. Around 200 wood products will subject to the increased tariffs. The US is the biggest buyer for Chinese wood product exports. The largest category of wood products to be affected by the tariffs is the wooden furniture products, which reached 11.3 billion m3 in volume exports to the US.
