Due to a lack of fibre, Resolute Forest Products has suspended sawmill operations at the Saint-Thomas-Didyme mill until June 11. A decision which is however made without impact on the workers, assures the spokesperson for the multinational, “The date of June 11 is no coincidence, it is at this time that forestry operations will resume. Basically, we ran out of fiber to supply our plant. We had to operate in slightly more difficult harvesting sectors and this forces us to suspend our sawing activities in Saint-Thomas-Didyme,” Louis Bouchard, a spokeperson of the company explains.  ...
