The Polish Competition and Consumer Protection Bureau announced on 28 December 2017 that it had imposed fines on several wood-based material manufacturers because they were allegedly forming a cartel. The companies had made price agreements for nearly four years, from early 2008 to September 2011, and exchanged, while exchanging other confidential information. The total amount of the fine amounts to nearly PLN135 million (EUR 32 million).
