German RWE to convert coal plant in the Netherlands to wood pellets this year
    German utilities company, RWE AG, expects to start co-firing biomass at its 600 MW coal-fired plant in the Netherlands by the end of February. The company plans to co-fire 50pc biomass at Amer 9, which will consume around 900,000 t/yr.    The production is further forecast to increase co-firing to 80pc in the coming years.
