EU sawmills return on the Japanese market: 50% export growth

Between January and July 2024, softwood lumber exports from the European Union to Japan have experienced a remarkable growth. According to recent figures provided by Eurostat, Japan imported softwood lumber worth EUR 422.8 million, reflecting a substantial 48% increase from EUR 284.9 million in the same period in 2023.
