Estonia: Increase in softwood lumber prices expected in early 2024

The price of softwood lumber in Estonia is almost half cheaper compared to last year, but the producers have reduced the volumes, so a small price increase can be expected at the beginning of this year,  said Toomas Tauk, the manager of the Estonian wood retailer Puumarket, said Tauk added that due to the decrease in local and especially Scandinavian construction volumes, the price of wood is nearly 50 percent cheaper than a year ago.
