Austrian and German sawmill industry welcome EUDR deadline extension and repair

The European Parliament has voted to extend the deadline for implementing the EU Regulation on Deforestation-Free Products (EUDR) to December 30, 2025, while approving substantive amendments proposed by the European People’s Party (EPP) group. These amendments aim to reduce bureaucracy, support small and medium-sized enterprises, and provide relief for sectors in low-risk countries.
