Last year, with the retreat of the bark beetle calamity, the Czech state enterprise Lesy České republiky (LČR) reduced logging by 20 percent to 11.41 million cubic meters. In 2020, logging in Czech state forests reached a record 14.4 million cubic meters during the peak calamity.
