Furniture industry in Italy start to reopen factories

The Coronavirus strict government restrictions in Italy are gradually being relaxed.

Following the Prime Minister's decree of April 26, numerous manufacturers from the furniture and interior industry, including B&B Italia and Arclinea, Moroso, Boffi | DePadova and Flexform, have announced the immediate reopening of their factories, reports Möbelfertigung.

Moroso is pleased to be able to start production again, while logistics and warehouse services has become fully operational from Monday, May 4, 2020. “For the time being, all other departments, including customer care, customer service, sales and marketing offices, will continue to be available through smart working.”

“With the extraordinary commitment of the employees, who are the real strength of companies and brands, we will be able to cope with this major global crisis”, the B&B Italia Group encourages in its statement to restart its production.

And Boffi | DePadova also wants to achieve full production capacity by Monday, May 4th: “We will tackle the challenges ahead with the greatest efficiency. Our international network is always active and now even better organized.”
