Logs exported from the Czech Republic to China have increased significantly this year, as a result of a record harvesting in the country caused by the bark beetle infestation. More than 350,000 tons of timber was sold to China in January-May alone, almost three times more as compared to last year, with exports reaching nearly 1.1 billion kronor (about $48 million).
