Finnish wood pellets production amounted to 324,000 tonnes during 2017, one fifth more than in 2016 and the third highest result in history, since 2008's result of 373,000 tonnes. As reported by the Natural Resource Institute Finland (Luke), another record was reached in Finland's wood pellets imports. A total of 87,000 tonnes of wood pellets were imported to Finland during 2017, which is 74% more than in 2016. At the same time, the exports of wood pellets amounted to 37,000 tonnes, 8% more than in the preceding year. ...
