Never before has so much timber been harvested for industrial purposes in Norway as in 2024. The total harvest volume reached 11.85 million cubic meters. On average, forest owners received 676 NOK (58 EUR) per cubic meter, an increase of 24 percent compared to 2023. Measured in nominal prices, this is the highest average log price ever recorded in Norway. When adjusted for inflation, one has to go back 30 years to find a comparable average price.
