Pine market struggles continue in China, prices stay at low levels

Despite being in the traditional peak season, the timber market in China is still showing no significant improvement. Even pine, a species with a large trading volume in the market, has not escaped the ongoing sluggish trend. Recent data indicates that pine prices are still lingering at low levels. Some species, such as radiata pine logs, have seen continuous price declines. The price of 3.9m, Medium A-grade logs has dropped from around €110 per cubic meter to €105-110, while 5.9m, Medium A-grade logs have decreased from €120 to €115-120 per cubic meter.  ...
