EUDR: EU Council agrees to extend application timeline

On 16 October 2024, the EU Council agreed to the Commission's proposal to postpone the entry into force of the EUDR by one year. The Council will now inform the European Parliament of its position so that the Parliament can decide on its position. The aim is to have the regulation formally adopted by both co-legislators and published in the Official Journal of the EU so that it can enter into force by the end of the year. If the European Parliament agrees, the obligations under this Regulation will therefore be binding from the following date:  ...
