India’s log import market is currently facing several challenges

Many parts of northern and western India are inundated with floods. Kandla is also affected by the monsoon rains, with vessels often having to wait a week before berthing. Container freight costs for exports from India to Europe have tripled, putting pressure on Indian exports.
