In the first five months of 2024, Finland exported approximately 2.90 million cubic meters softwood lumber. This represents a 19% decrease compared to the same period in 2023. Except Asia, exports of Finnish lumber fell in all key markets. Exports to the European Union experienced a significant decline, dropping by 28% to 1.26 million cubic meters.
