German trade association calls for stricter measures against market distortion caused by Russian wood

By concealing its origin, sanctioned wood from Russia still finds its way onto the German market via processing in third countries, repackaging and relabeling.  The German Timber Trade Federation (GD Holz) believes that companies that take the sanctions seriously are massively disadvantaged by products that reach the world market via China, Turkey, Kazakhstan and other countries.
