European parquet market still awaiting recovery

After two booming years in 2021-2022, the parquet industry has experienced a sharp downturn. In Europe, consumption plummeted by 30% in 2023, bringing the market down to the very low levels seen during the 2008 crisis. Some countries have seen a drastic collapse in demand within just one year; Germany is down 46%, Denmark-Finland-Norway 35%, and the Netherlands 30%.
