Germany: FSC certification in the Hessian state forest suspended

The Hessian state government is currently reversing some of the forestry and environmental policy decisions of the previous black-green government. Most recently, the Hessian state parliament passed an FSC moratorium on May 16. It is therefore foreseeable that FSC certification in state forests will soon be suspended. The natural benefits, the consequences for employees and the costs are to be evaluated by March 2028.
