Germany: Sharp fall in logging levels; spruce felling continues to drop

A total of 70.6 million cubic meters (m 3 ) of wood was felled in German forests in 2023 . This means that logging was 10.3% lower than in the previous year (2022: 78.7 million m 3 ).
