ETTF GA: 2024 Outlook for the European wood markets is cautious but overall optimistic

The last ETTF General Assembly was held in Vienna on October 13. During this AGM, Nils Olaf Petersen, from GD Holz, was elected as the new general secretary from 2024. He succeeds Thomas Goebel. As usual, a round table discussion took place regarding market forecasts. In Germany, the construction and renovation sector is showing signs of slowing down, with negative variations in turnover for sawn timber, panels, building elements, planed products, flooring and garden products.
