Germany: Spruce log prices on the rise

The German producer price indices for spruce developed upwards in December 2022. On average, the index for log wood increased by 1,3% to 105,8 points. B qualities reached the level of 107,3 points ( 0,2% ), to which 3 m lengths contributed with 0,4% to 109,2 points. For 4/5 m lengths Destatis calculated 108,1 points ( -0,3% ). C qualities in December reached 99,2 points ( 5,5% ) with 105,2 points ( 4,7% ) for 3 m lengths and 100,1 points ( 2,7% ) for 4/5 m lengths.
