Swedish lumber export prices continue to fall

In December 2022, for the 6th month in a row, Swedish lumber export prices continued to fall: -3.9% compared to the previous month and -32.5% compared to December 2021.  At the start of the year, the prices of Scandinavian timber began to rise again, in line with the rise in quotations on the American market. However, they remain above their levels of December 2019 (+32.9%) and December 2020 (+12.8%). Compared to November 2022, the prices of red wood fell by -3.2% and those of white wood by -4.3%.
