There are clear signs of revival in Finland's wood prices compared to the beginning of the year, estimates The Finnish Forest Industries Federation (Metsäteollisuus ry). According to the federation, the wood trade has started to pick up quickly after the holiday season. The member companies of the forest industry bought 20.5 million cubic meters of wood from private forests in January-August. The amount is five percent less than the average of the corresponding period of the previous five years and 16 percent behind last year's purchase volume.   ...
